We love to work on unusual projects and gun grips for firearms we certainly view as one of them, not only due to its industry uniqueness but also the demands that are required for a non-slip material on guns to perform. It is only a relatively small market for us as the square area of each firearm is only small but we are very well represented in it and we have unique offerings that make our products perfectly suited to this market. Let’s go through the details of what we do for this area.
Manufacture only, not supply
First of all, let’s make this very clear, we only manufacture gun grips; we do not sell our own range, we are so strict, we supply not only through distributors but through companies that have their own brand. As a company we are happy being in the background producing our materials, supporting our valued resellers and working to improve our materials on an ongoing basis. If you reading this and looking to buy material for your guns or even for your gun store then we are not your company.
Non-slip finish
Obviously gun grips need to be non-slip, that is the whole point, but we produce the widest range in the world, we have abrasive (think sandpaper texture), non-abrasive (various grades but like a heavily textured material) and a hybrid (our Marine range which is technically an abrasive but feels more non-abrasive, very special). We like to give our customers the choice; you can choose all the different materials in each range, you can mix the types, we don’t have MOQ’s for materials, what you see on our website and sample cards are already produced, on stock, ready to be shaped and then sent.
Adhesives
The adhesives on gun grips need to perform, the angles and fractures are acute and very challenging. We can change the adhesive to suit and recommend what we think is best. The adhesives supplied by Heskins are class leading; we do not use water based acrylics, we do not use hot melt adhesives, we simply do not compromise.
Die cutting
Die cutting is a huge part of our business, this is effectively shaping the material. Our die cutting is accurate to tolerances finer than human hair, if you want to save on production costs then utilising our die cutting processing will be far cheaper than cutting it yourself, it would all be done at our Pennsylvanian location.
Printing
We can full colour print onto any of our materials, all achieved inhouse.
Ultra flexible
As mentioned above, gun grips have demanding angles, they are often 90° then bend back again, to provide long life in these areas you need a non-slip product produced with ultra flexibility, we can achieve this.
Your branding
As mentioned above we are simply happy to stay in the background and produce materials, in our 27 years we have never wanted to create a brand and compete with our valued resellers and never will. We are happy to brand our product with your details.
